2013/10/17About the salt we are using at Elio Locanda

At Elio Locanda Italiana we do not use any chemical refined salt,


but a very nice sea salt ("sale marino") that has been drying under the Sicilian sun.





This salt comes from Trapani, so our new Chef "Peppe", who is from Trapani as well,

can tell you why this salt is so special!

Not only is hand-made and hand-picked,






But absorbing the full power and warmth from the southern sun,

this salt is able to enrich all our receipts.







It can be used for cooking Pasta as well as for seasoning and preparations of all kinds.
